Nursery Attendant (Posted May 6, 2019)
Redeemer, Midlothian, is seeking a part-time nursery attendant Summer hours are every Sunday morning from 8:20 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.  During the rest of the year hours are every Sunday morning from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., but there will be other opportunities in the evening and otherwise for additional pay.  Those additional hours are completely optional for the attendant on a case by case basis.  Hourly pay rate is $15. Part-time Organist/Director of Music (Posted April 17, 2019)
The Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd in Richmond, Virginia seeks a part-time Organist/ Director of Music (15-20 hours/week) to provide organ, choral, and other music for a weekly  Sunday morning service, occasional weekday services, and special events. Responsibilities include a weekly choir rehearsal (September through May) and collaboration with the Rector in the selection of hymns and service music, following the Revised Common Lectionary and the liturgical season. Our worship is grounded in The Book of Common Prayer, The Hymnal 1982, Wonder, Love and Praise and incorporates material from a variety of liturgical traditions. Musical resources include a two-manual 1988 Dobson tracker action pipe organ, Wurlitzer and Kawai baby grand pianos, an extensive choral library, a century-old worship space with Gothic features, and an accomplished choir. Music is central to our mission “To know Christ and to make him known.” Good Shepherd is a musically literate congregation that features robust singing and a cadre of trained musicians who offer classical, jazz, folk, and bluegrass music to enhance corporate worship. Youth Minister (Posted May 1, 2019)
St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Hanover, VA, seeks to call a part-time Youth Minister with a firm commitment to Jesus Christ and understanding of the historic teachings of the Church. Candidates for this position should have a heart for working with youth in middle school and high school and the ability to work with younger children as well. The Youth Minister's primary ministry area will be for the Youth Group consisting of the middle schoolers and high schoolers, with additional responsibilities for some children's programs. Music Director (Posted May 1, 2019)
St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Hanover, VA, seeks a part-time, contracted combined role of Organist/Music Director for one Sunday service per week, beginning summer 2019. Additional required services on Christmas Eve (2), Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, Easter morning (2), and the evening before Thanksgiving. Director will be responsible for partnering with the rector is mission and ministry to lead and devleop the music program of the parish. Primary obligations include making music selections (in collaboration with the Rector), all worship accompaniment, leading the congregation in the musical elements of worship, and leading one adult choir September - June, including coordinating and conductins their rehearsals. Current choir rehearsals on are on Sundays. St. Paul's is a rural, active, family parish, avering 100 congregants in attendance each week, with 75 at the main service, and room for a choir of 15. Organ is a two-manual Allen; piano in parish hall available for rehearsal. In addition to existing choral library, resources include Episcopal Hymnal (1982); Wonder, Love, and Praise; and Lift Every Voice and Sing II. Ideal candidate should be familiar with Episcopal liturgical tradition, comfortable with various liturgical styles, and open to adapting to fit the needs of the congregation. Experience with both the organ and directing an adult choir preferred. Compensation range is $15,000 to $20,000 per annum, commensurate with experience. Contract allots 8 to 10 hours per week, with four Sundays of paid vacation. Budget for music, supplies and continuing education is negotiable.
