Bishop's Closet at Council - Re-purposing vestments and hangings

Are there vestments your church doesn’t need? Are there altar hangings you do need? This is opportunity to clean out the vesting room.  If you have good quality vestments, altar hangings or paraments that your congregation no longer uses that you’d like to find a home for, bring them to Annual Council to the “Bishop’s Closet,” a room set aside downstairs near the council floor. This will be a free exchange, where you can leave or take any item (you don’t have to bring to take). Any leftover items will be donated to mission partners. If you can attach measurements or sizes to your items, that would be most appreciated.  Please, do not bring items that are not in good shape. You may consider donating the fabric locally. For more information, contact The Rev. Canon Jeunée Godsey, jgodsey@diosova.org or 434-603-1782.
