Nursery Staff (Posted November 24, 2021)
Trinity Episcopal Church in Portsmouth is seeking a nursery worker. Candidate must be 21 years of age or older. Principal function is to provide for the physical, emotional, and intellectual stimulation and safety of children ages 0-4 years while working in the church’s nurseries on Sunday mornings and children ages 0-11 during special church events. St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Newport News is seeking a full-time sexton. This is a salaried position and includes health insurance and pension. This position is responsible for routine cleaning, general repairs, preventative maintenance, and security of the church’s facility and grounds. The successful candidate will have a good attitude, initiative, and the ability to work independently. Music Director (Posted October 4, 2021)
The Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd in Norfolk seeks an innovative and energetic half-time Music Director. Previous experience as a church musician is not required, but a willingness to learn the basic traditions and norms of the Episcopal church service is necessary. Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd is looking for a candidate with excellent piano skills and at least some experience playing the organ. As the church both manages and emerges from COVID, we especially seek someone who can work with the priest-in-charge to continue the creative musical offerings of the Sunday service and imagine new possibilities. Candidates with a love of jazz and gospel and an interest in creativity and innovation are especially invited to apply. Co-Chair Christian Formation - 2 positions (Posted June 1, 2021)
These are part-time positions at Emmanuel Episcopal Church, Virginia Beach. An individual may apply for the children/youth formation chair or adult formation chair only, OR they may be combined to a "Family Ministry" position in which an individual handles both parts (still part time).
