Parish Secretary (Posted January 15, 2019)
Church of the Good Shepherd, Norfolk, seeks a part-time Parish Secretary.  The Parish Secretary provides general office support to the parish, staff, congregation and committees, in order to support the ministries and mission of The Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd. This work includes, but is not limited to: data and records management, phone and email support, supplies and inventory management, communications work, assisting in managing use of church space by parish and outside groups, supporting church ministries and committees, and collaborating with volunteers. The Parish Secretary will be a resource person for both members and non-members, and a welcoming and responsive presence in our church’s office.  Starting wage is $15 an hour with a 15-18 hour weekly schedule. Vocalist (Posted January 3, 2019)
Eastern Shore Chapel Episcopal Church, Virginia Beach, has an immediate opening for a Contralto/Alto soloist/section leader.  Weekly rehearsals are held on Wednesday evenings from 7:15 to 8:45 pm.  Sunday services are scheduled at 10:15 am, proceeded by a warm up rehearsal at 9:30 am. Other services include Holy Week, Christmas Eve, Lessons and Carols services and other choral events. Our applicant should exhibit excellent sight-reading skills. outstanding soloistic voice, prompt and regular attendance, and the ability to serve as a section leader for an amateur choir. Sexton (Posted January 3, 2019)
St. John’s Church in Hampton is looking for a part-time (18 hours) sexton.  The sexton is responsible for cleaning the church building and parish house as well as opening and closing the church.  The position also includes setting up and taking down chairs and tables.  The salary is competitive.  Please contact the church office if you are interested at office@stjohnshampton.org.
