Parish Administrator (Posted November 18, 2019)
St. David’s Episcopal Church is located at the corner of Reams Road and Providence Road in North Chesterfield, Virginia. We are a welcoming, involved, and inclusive community. We open our doors daily not only for worship, but to welcome local organizations including Scouts and neighborhood associations. Our Sunday worship schedule includes three morning services, and Christian Formation opportunities for all ages, including Adult Forum. We are seeking a part-time Parish Administrator. The Parish Administrator will work under the supervision of the rector, and will provide clerical, administrative, and record keeping functions for the rector, vestry, and other parish staff. Duties will include office administration and record-keeping, including preparation of published materials such as bulletins, newsletters, parish calendar, and parish-wide emails. In addition, the administrator will coordinate activities for building administration, working with the vestry liaison for Buildings and Grounds. The administrator must be people-oriented and responsive to internal and external requests and interactions. A detailed job description is available for review. The work schedule will be Monday through Thursday, six hours per day, for a total of 24 hours per week. Pay rate is $15.00 per hour, plus participation in the Episcopal Church Pension Group’s defined contribution plan, for up to 9 % of base salary. Childcare workers are needed for the nursery at Eastern Shore Chapel in Virginia Beach. Hours are 8:45 to 11:30 a.m. on Sundays. Salary is $10 per hour. Director of Children and Youth Ministries (Posted September 27, 2019)
Grace Episcopal Church, located in historic Yorktown, Virginia, is seeking a creative and engaging Director of Children and Youth Ministries (DCYM) to sustain and expand programs for its growing congregation.  We are an inclusive community of faith, invested in the spiritual growth and formation of children, youth, and families. Responsibilities include inspiring children and youth to a life of faith, nurturing a community of mutual support, developing and overseeing Christian Formation programs, recruiting and training volunteers, collaborating with clergy and staff, and performing administrative duties. The DCYM must be able to relate to and work with children, youth, and their parents and be committed to meeting the diverse and unique needs of children of all ages.  Excellent relationship-building and communication skills, including written, oral, and various social media strategies, are necessary. Previous experience in youth ministry in a parish setting or a compelling alternative is essential.  Experience in both teaching and administration is preferred.  Hours are flexible, but must include your presence on Sundays, when parents and children are available, and at other times to collaborate with clergy and staff.  Salary depends on available time commitment, education, qualifications, and relevant experience. Musician & Choir Director (Posted September 24, 2019)
St. Paul and St. Andrew Church, Kenbridge is seeking a Part-Time musician and Choir Director to bolster and continue to build the music program for a vibrant small parish.  The position is for one Sunday morning service at 10:30 AM, one choir rehearsal a week and all special services as needed, i.e. Holy Week, Easter, Christmas, weddings, funerals, etc.  Compensation is commensurate with experience.
