New intake process for Clergy Short-Term Disability claims

On January 1, 2018, a new process went into effect for the intake of short-term disability claims for eligible participants in The Church Pension Fund Clergy Short-Term Disability Plan. New claims must be reported directly to Liberty Mutual, their short-term disability program administrator, rather than via CPG Client Services. New claims may be submitted directly to Liberty Mutual either by visiting www.mylibertyconnection.com and using company code "CPG-EE" or calling Liberty Mutual at 877-225-1740.

Generally, the claim MUST be submitted within the first 60 days of disability to receive the full benefit. Click here to view A Guide to Clergy Benefits for more information. Liberty Mutual has also customized their step-by-step checklist for Clergy Short-Term Disability Plan participants to support the submission of claims. Click here to view this checklist for online or telephone claims submission, and a fillable medical release form.

If you have questions or concerns, contact CPG at 855-215-5990, Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. (excluding holidays) or email admin-assist@cpg.org

Clergy Compensation Manual & Guidelines

Each year, the Compensation Commission recommends a cost-of-living adjustment for clergy and lay employees and re-issues Clergy Compensation Information & Guidelines. The compensation table reflects comparable pension-based total compensation amounts based on the size of the congregation, using pledge and plate revenues and average Sunday attendance from the Parochial Reports. These are merely guidelines to be used by the vestry and clergy to determine compensation for the clergy.
