In the Diocese of Southern Virginia we ask that all submissions to search committees come through the Office of the Canon to the Ordinary. We will forward them to our search committees.

In the cover letter, please discuss the following: Why you are seeking a call at this time, liturgical style, gifts, limitations, and what interests you in the parish you’re submitting your name to.

If a parish is receiving names it will also be posted on the Positions Open Bulletin at the Church Deployment Office and with the Deployment Ministry Newsletter. If the parish is not yet receiving names you may want to contact us first to be aware of their time frame. You can submit your name to us before they begin receiving names.
