Province III Youth Pilgrimage: Trail to Truth
Trail to Truth is an opportunity for youth to journey from DC to Philadelphia with other youth in the Episcopal Church while learning about racism and reconciliation in our country. Along the way we will visit historical sites, hear from leaders in the church and struggle against racism, and become a part of the Beloved Community, as we seek to increase racial understanding, healing, and reconciliation. The pilgrimage will cost only $50 per participant for the weekend of Oct 11-14. This includes 10 meals, lodging, and transportation by charter bus during the event, entrance fees and workshops, and any other regularly planned activities during the Pilgrimage.  If you or your youth are interested in attending this event, please contact Megan Dern at mdern@diosova.org or at 757-423-3393. The number of seats for our province is limited to 6 seats and will be filled by first come first served.

Happening Team
The Happening Team coordinates all aspects of the Happening Program in our diocese including weekend planning, staff oversight, and reunion weekends. We meet approximately monthly.  The team is chaired by Karen Witherspoon, kspoon143@yahoo.com.

The Christian Education Network of Southern Virginia supports lay and ordained, professional and volunteer educators.  We meet monthly for lunch to share resources and problem-solve, and we gather quarterly for special programs with engaging speakers. For more information on CE-Net contact the co-chairs: Vicky Koch (vkoch@stpaulsnorfolk.org, 757-627-4353, ext. 23) or Megan Dern (megan.dern@goodshepherdnorfolk.org, 970-381-4321)

Chanco on the James Camp and Conference Center
Chanco on the James is our diocesan retreat center and residential summer camping ministry.  The Executive Director is Gareth Kalfas.  Contact Gareth at director@chanco.org.

Chanco Chaplain Program
Each summer a number of dedicated visiting clergy partner with the summer Residential Chaplain to serve the Camp Chanco community.  Visiting clergy commit to celebrating one Eucharist, while the Residential Chaplain stays on-site during the summer sessions to teach chaplain class, provide pastoral care, and lead morning devotions.  If you are interested in being part of this important and rewarding ministry, contact Gareth Kalfas at Chanco, director@chanco.org.
